The Angel Visits Mary – Luke 1:26-38
Mary was honored by such an important assignment from God, but it did not make her life easy.

• How has your life been complicated by your decision to trust and obey Jesus Christ?
• How have you been able to continue to trust and obey when the road God called you to becomes difficult and complicated?

ACTIVITY: Play Christmas Pictionary – It can be frustrating when God is doing something in our lives and we can’t see the whole picture. To help you remember to trust God, even when you don’t understand, play Christmas Pictionary. Use the Pictionary game cards in the box. Players will take turns picking a card, setting a timer, and drawing what’s on the card. Everybody else guesses the drawing. The team or player with the most correct guesses wins.

For Families with Kids:

God could have chosen someone famous or someone important to bring his Son into the world. Instead, God chose a young woman who was willing to trust and obey Him. He knew that being Jesus’ mother was going to be hard sometimes, but Mary could trust that God would help her. When we follow God, it won’t always be easy, but we can know that God loves us and will be with us.
